I never had Mrs. Pelton as an English teacher but my sister did. One day Mrs. Pelton asked my sister what would be her college major. My sister replied that she had no plans to continue, that our parents were sure no college would accept her, they would be happy if she graduated from high school. But Mrs. Pelton told her she had potential and should try. My sister listened and, thanks to Mrs Pelton, graduated from college with a degree in microbiology! Thank you Mrs. Pelton.
