Susan Mack (Sugden)

To Mr. Burt's' family,

We were fortunate to be at LAHS in the '60s and one of our favorite coaches was Mr. Burt.  Our 4 years there were spent together as a family in the athletic department.  The coaches were mentors, friends, and support when we needed them for sports, classroom studies, & at times, for personal guidance. Mr. Burt   showed respect to his students, and that respect was returned to him by his outstanding athletes, The Knights!  In all the sports he coached, he was steady & determined to produce winners.  He did just that over our years there as LAHS students.  I was lucky enough to be a cheerleader for many of Coach Burt's teams, & proud of it!

We send our condolences to all of Mr. Burt's family & close friends. He lived a long & hopefully, a blessed life in his retirement years.

Sincerely, Rich ('60) & Sue Mack ('62) Sugden
