Linda Pratt (Kilday)

Linda Pratt (Kilday)

September 27, 1944    ~    September 22, 2019

Linda was alone at home when she passed, so the cause of her death is not known at this time.  She was, however, living with serious chronic health problems which could have caused a crisis she was unable to overcome.

Linda's family has planned a Celebration of her Life for family and friends on Satuday, September 25, 2021, at Santa Clara's Cental Park which is located on Kiely Blvd. between Homestead Rd. and Benton St. The Celebration  will be held in the park's Arbor Center at 1:00 pm.  The entrance into the most convenient parking lot will be the first driveway on your right as you turn north from Homestead.  At the far end of the lot, a pathway leads into the park.  The first left branch of the path will take you over a bridge that crosses Saratoga Creek.  The Arbor Center will be on your left.

I did not know Linda since I was there only in my Senior Year.  Lots of great people there.  It feels like we are at a point where nearly half are now gone.  I turned 75 on August 30.  Wow!

I’m so sad to hear of Linda’s passing. We shared several classes together and many laughs in Mrs. Handley’s classes - it’s a wonder we didn’t get kicked out sometimes. She was a fun, caring person. My condolences to her family. R.I.P., sweet Linda.

I hung around with Linda all through High School.  Then our lives seperated.  I went off to college and never returned except to see my parents.  High School with Linda and our gang was fun.  I cannot even mention the things we did 60 years ago.  Today they are common place.  When we had the  reunion years ago and closed off the downtown street we were all talking about how we should have purchased our parents homes.  No one could image what real estate would be like 10 years ago.   AND NOW !!!!!!!!!! When this site was first set up I was so excited to see what was going on with the kids I went to school with.  AND NOW, people are passing on!!! I can't believe that I will be 75!!!! I would never admit that to my friends here but you all know my age.  When Delos Brown died I was in shock.  He sat in front of me for 4 years of our lives!  Now Linda,  When I see the email now I open it with fear.  Another Kight lost!  Our reality is hard for me! There is only one way to face my life now, I try to count the things I am grateful for daily.  best to all................

So sad to hear you have left us, Linda... we'll miss seeing you at the reunions... I remember seeing you at the LAHS reunion downtown with the gang, I know I took a photo of you all there... If the memorial service is near enough for me to come to... I will bring the photos... You were such fun to be around...  Much sympathy to your family and your sister Diane?  We will miss you.  Love, Ginni

I was able to talk to Linda about a month before She passed away, after She called Pammy (Brummet)  McPhearson for my Sister Sherry's phone number, so she could ask her what it was like to be on oxegen.

I wish I had known then that Her time would be so short.

We all went to "Hillview" from K thru 6th then on to "Covington" and "Los Altos High School".  We had so much fun together when we were young and I'll never forget many of the silly things we shared together.

We drifted away from each other in High School but I remember seeing Her at our 50th reuninon.  Now I wish I could go back and spend more time with everyone on that weekend.

Linda will be missed by many of us, RIP my friend.  We  Must  remember to Hug our Friends & Loved Ones as often as we can, as time marches on.

Love You, Judi Matz Keneson

I, too, enjoyed Linda's friendship for many years...all the way through Hillview, Covington, and LAHS.  Linda was invariably upbeat and fun to be around.  I enjoyed reconnecting at our 55th reunion and looked forward to seeing her again at our 60th.  So disapointing to lose another dear friend and classmate.  I will miss her memorial on Saturday, September 25th.  It would have been a pleasure to commemorate her life with her friends and family.
