The Fiddler by Paulette Jiles Posted Wednesday, September 1, 2021 02:06 PM Historical fiction. Ms. Jiles's novels take place during the mostly aftermath of the Civil War.. Full of adventure, trials and tribulations, good and evil characters, interesting history, views of the landscape and towns of the time, good humor and soul and a nice romance. The fiddler is an admirable fellow. He takes food care of his fiddle and those he loved and is no wimp. Lots of interesting historical references about people and the times. I enjoyed all the books of hers I could find. |

RE: The Fiddler by Paulette Jiles Posted Saturday, September 18, 2021 02:09 PM I love Paulette Jiles' News of the World, and have read some of her other works. Don't know how I missed The Fiddler; now I'll have to search it out at the library. |
