Tour of the LAHS Campus
Friday, September 8, 2017
201 Almond Avenue, Los Altos
3:45 to about 5:00
Registration for this event is closed.

This event is designed for those who weren't able to attend the campus tour at our 50th reunion. It's basically the same as the 2012 tour, but without the luncheon. When school is out at 3:30 there's a mad rush for the student parking lot, student cars flood onto Almond Avenue, and the crosswalk in front of school fills, bringing traffic to a halt. We've been advised to arrive before 3:30! Carpooling is also a good idea. Find a spot in the student parking lot (there are usually empty spaces in the area nearest San Antonio Rd.) and meander into the quad. On your way, make sure to notice the solar energy producing array built over the parking spaces, and the electric vehicle charging stations against the fence between the parking lot and Tom Burt Field and Leo Long Track.  We'll meet in room 314 which, unlike in 1962, now faces the quad.  If you arrive early, relax in the shade of the oak tree in front of the classroom and people-watch. Before the tour begins, you'll receive your reunion name-tag/event tickets which will also serve as your campus Visitor Pass.  Principal Wynne Satterwhite and one or more assistant principals will serve as our tour guides.

Highlights of the tour will be the new Library with group study rooms, the Tutorial Center, Computer Labs, the new state-of-the-art Theater, the new multi-story classroom buildings, the new John Felix Memorial Aquatics Center, and perhaps one or more of the Regional Occupation Program classrooms.  We’ll also see an example of one of the not new, but totally renovated classrooms which received make-overs with new windows, wall finishes, lighting, flooring, and heating/AC.  Along the way we’ll learn about other changes that have taken place in the last 55 years including changes in demographics & curriculum, as well as how the campus became home of The Eagles instead of the Knights!  The tour is limited to 60 people, so register early.               Register Above

No-Host Meet & Greet and Happy Hour(s)
Friday, September 8, 2017
The Alpine Inn (aka Rossotti’s, Zott’s)

Note:  Zott's has been under new management for the last few years and NOW ACCEPTS CREDIT CARDS!  The menu has been improved. There are more shade umbrellas and picnic tables outside, a new outdoor bar, and the password for the free Wi-Fi is no longer a secret. (It was posted inside on the wall behind the bar last time we checked.) . Attire:  come as you are.  Registration isn't required, but is encouraged so the Alpine Inn knows how many of us to expect, and so you and your classmates will know who's coming!         Optional Registration Above

Choose satellite view and zoom in!  (The long shapes visible in this lot are shade structures.)

Ticket Price
The regular price for this event is $80 per person.  However, an Early Bird discounted price of $70 will be offered until midnight on July 31.  Regular pricing ) begins August 1.  Our website host offers a secure site for purchasing your ticket(s) by credit card, or you may pay by check and mail it directly to the reunion committee.  The website will automatically add a credit card processing fee of  5.9%.  This processing fee will bring the cost of purchasing tickets by credit card to $74.39 for the discounted Early Bird sales, and $85.02 for purchases made on or after August 1.   While not as convenient,  the only additional fee for paying by check is the cost of a stamp!   While you may still use Pay Pal and the "donate" button on the Home Page to sponsor a retired teacher/coach and guest, our website host no longer offers Pay PaI as a payment method for this event.   All registration and  ticket sales will close, and all cancellations and requests for refunds must be received by 5pm (Pacific time) Sunday,  August 27.  Cancellations and requests for refunds should be sent to LAHS62@gmail.com.  The Committee must provide a final count of attendees and pay all fees two weeks before the event.  Fremont Hills Country Club will not be preparing extra food for possible walk-ins.  This is how FHCC can keep our per-person cost so reasonable compared to other comparable facilities in the area.  Therefore,  No tickets will be sold at the door. Please plan ahead, and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Register Above
