Kathleen Romilda Halvorsen, 59, died Dec. 13, 2003 of nautral cuases in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  She was born in San Jose, Calif. to Doulgass Edward and Romilda Agnes (Mancuso) Whitaker.  She attended college, inlcuding Southern Oregon University and Oregon Institute of Technology, for two years and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Kathy married John Halvorsen on Oct. 5, 1968, in Palm Springs, Calif.  While their children were growing up, she was a homemaker.  Later, she became owner and operator of a horse breeding and showing venture.  Mrs. Halvorsen was involved with her children in the Klamath Falls Swim Team. She was also a big fan of OIT. She joined the booster club and provided color commentary for the basketball team.  She enjoyed bowling, golf, and cross-country skiing.   In addition, she was affiliated with the Oregon State University Home Extension Service and served as a volunteer at Klamath Hospice.
