COVID-19

Hello,

I hope everyone is taking this social distancing and self-isolation seriously. Our immune systems aren't what they used to be.

No cases in this county, so far, but Everret and Seattle are only a couple of hours away.

Hi Bob,

I just saw your post today. March 13 was only 11 weeks ago, yet it seems like a lifetime. That was the day we returned from a 2-week stay in Angels Camp watching the beginnings of the pandemic unfold. The first person I ran into there was a nurse from the Santa Clara hospital that had the first COVID-19 patient in California. We went home and have been self-isolating since. We go out periodically to shop, but are careful to wear masks and use hand sanitizers liberally. Fortunately, we live in a rural area outside Ashland, Oregon where we have lots of room to social distance from our neighbors who all live on at least an acre of land. Oregon was swift to have stay-at-home orders and slow to re-open. It's been difficult for an area dependent on tourism for the Shakespeare Festival, the Britt Music Festival events, the Independent Film Festival and all the Winery events. We're in no hurry to take risks, so we intend to stay safe. I hope you do as well. Take care,

Pamela Henry Lund
